Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026.

1. What this is

MicroTap (x402tap.com) is a set of HTTP API endpoints that accept payment via the x402 protocol: each request to a paid route returns an HTTP 402 response with the price, and the route fulfills the request once a valid on-chain USDC payment is signed and submitted. There is no account creation, login, or API key — payment itself is the authentication.

2. Payments

Prices are quoted per request in USDC and shown on the pricing page and in each route's own 402 response. Payments settle on-chain on Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, or Solana. Because settlement is on-chain and immediate, payments are final and non-refundable once confirmed, except where a request fails to fulfill on our end (see Section 4).

3. Acceptable use

These endpoints are intended for normal programmatic and agentic use — calling a route, paying for it, and using the response. You agree not to abuse, probe for vulnerabilities in, or attempt to circumvent the payment mechanism of any endpoint; not to use the service to violate any applicable law; and not to resell responses in a way that misrepresents their source. We reserve the right to rate-limit or block traffic that we reasonably believe is abusive.

4. Availability and reliability

Endpoints are provided on a best-effort basis. Some routes proxy third-party data sources (for example, Open-Meteo for weather, or on-chain RPC/DeFi/prediction-market data) and their availability depends on those upstreams. If a paid request fails to return a valid response due to an error on our end, contact us and we'll make it right on a case-by-case basis; this is a manual process, not an automated refund system.

5. No warranty

The service and the data it returns are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Data from routes such as crypto prices, DeFi TVL, or prediction-market odds reflects third-party sources at the time of the request and should not be relied on as financial advice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MicroTap and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific request giving rise to the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms, pricing, or the set of available endpoints at any time. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
